The questions people actually ask, answered straight.
Do I need a phone to see anything?
No. Demo Mode runs included concert footage through everything the app can do — try every look before a single camera is connected.
How many cameras can I use?
Two phones is comfortable; four is the tested ceiling on a healthy Wi-Fi network. USB cameras and the Mac's own camera are wired, so they don't use Wi-Fi at all.
Does it work for streaming?
Yes. The output runs fullscreen or in its own window — capture that window in OBS or any streaming app, and your stream gets the same multi-camera show, cut to the music.
Does 
need internet?
No. Everything happens on your own network — the Mac and the phones just need to share a Wi-Fi. No cloud, no account, and nothing between you and showtime.
Does it work with iPhone?
Yes — and there's nothing to install. Scan the pairing QR with the iPhone's camera, Safari opens, and the phone starts streaming.
Is there an Android app?
Yes — a native camera app, built for phones rigged on stands: install it once, scan the QR, and it reconnects by itself every time you open it.
What happens when Wi-Fi drops mid-show?
reconnects on its own. If a camera goes dark, the next live
one takes the screen, and the camera's row tells you what happened and
what to do. BLACKOUT and FREEZE stay one click away through all of
it.
Why did my phone stop streaming when it locked?
Phones pause their camera when locked or in the background. Keep the camera app on screen with auto-lock off — the runbook has the full pre-show checklist.
Does audio leave the Mac?
No. Live Audio listens to the room so cuts land on the beat — everything is analyzed on your Mac, and nothing is sent anywhere.
Can someone else on the network mess with my show?
No. Remote control is off by default — if you want to use a controller from another device, you switch it on yourself and hand over an access key.
Will macOS let it run?
Yes — is signed and notarized by Apple, so it opens like any
other Mac app. No warnings to click through.
What's the difference between BLACKOUT and FREEZE?
BLACKOUT cuts the screen to black; FREEZE holds the current frame. Both keep your whole look intact underneath, so recovery is instant.
Where do recordings go?
Into your Movies folder, under StageVis — named and ready for the aftermovie. The Recordings card in the app manages them.
Is my setup remembered?
Yes — your looks, templates, paired cameras and screen choice all come back on relaunch. Blackout and freeze deliberately don't: the app always wakes up showing the picture.
How do I report a problem?
In the app: Help → Copy Diagnostics, then paste into an email to [email protected]. The report is prepared automatically and anything private is removed before it leaves the app.
